Our Story

Built from the Field Up

Not technologists who discovered healthcare. Clinicians who learned to build.

Amsler Labs was founded by Nick Amsler — Army combat medic, licensed paramedic, FP-C, MBA — after years of working at the intersection of clinical operations and data in some of the largest EMS organizations in the country. Joined by a senior EMS data engineer and an air medical CEO, three people who between them have lived every layer of the problem we're solving.

Mission

To empower healthcare professionals with intelligent, accessible technology that transforms how they train, certify, and deliver patient care - from the back of an ambulance to the ICU.

Vision

A world where every healthcare professional has access to AI-driven tools that accelerate competency, reduce errors, and ultimately improve patient outcomes.

Core Values

What we believe.

Clinical Rigor

Every product is built on evidence-based medicine and validated by practitioners. We don't ship what we haven't tested in clinical context.

Accessibility

Tools designed for mobile-first, offline-capable environments where EMS professionals actually work. Not just where Wi-Fi is reliable.

Innovation

Leveraging AI, machine learning, and modern development to solve real clinical problems - not to chase trends or pad a portfolio.

Veteran-Founded

Built with the discipline, urgency, and mission focus that comes from serving under fire. We know what high stakes looks like.

“The IT department told me to stop building. So I built a company instead.”

- Nick Amsler, Founder & President

Nick started as a US Army combat medic — 1st Infantry Division, two combat deployments including Operation Iraqi Freedom. That background doesn't leave you. It shapes how you approach problems: with urgency, with precision, and with the understanding that the gap between good information and no information can cost someone their life.

After the military, Nick became a licensed paramedic and spent the next decade building a career at the intersection of clinical care and operations. He earned his FP-C, his MBA, his MS — not because credentials are the point, but because he was genuinely trying to understand how organizations work and why they so often fail the people on the front lines.

As a clinical manager and reporting leader at some of the largest EMS organizations in the country, Nick finally had a view that most clinicians never get: the data. Agency-wide. State-by-state. Training outcomes, response benchmarks, staffing patterns, clinical performance — all of it. And what he saw, consistently, was a gap: the tools didn't exist. The intelligence infrastructure that every other industry takes for granted simply wasn't there for EMS.

So he started building. The IT department told him to stop. He built a company instead.
